DSTB Testing Cup er en sjov mulighed for at prøve kræfter med at teste et moderne AI-baseret produkt i et trygt miljø. Det er samtidig en turnering i softwaretest, hvor holdene konkurrerer om titlen som de bedste i struktureret softwaretest. Det er et event, hvor vi sætter fokus på viden og kompetencer, som bruges i praksis og erfaringsudveksling mellem deltagerne.
Alle deltagere bliver præsenteret for produktet, som skal testes. Derefter planlægger og udfører deltagerne en struktureret test af systemet. Konkurrencen skal gerne udfordre deltagerne til at være kreative og strukturerede under tidspres samtidig med at deltagerne udfordrer systemet.
Selve konkurrencen afvikles på én arbejdsdag med kåring af vinderholdet dagen efter. Læs mere om tidsplanen nedenfor. Konkurrencen afholdes på engelsk og dansk. Dvs. den indledende præsentation er på engelsk, mens holdene kan arbejde på deres foretrukne sprog. Såfremt ISTQB afholder den internationale Cup, ISTQB Cup, i 2027 vil DSTB undersøge muligheden for at vinderholdet af dette års DSTB Testing Cup kan deltage på vegne af DSTB.

The DSTB Testing Cup is a fun opportunity to test a modern AI-based product in a safe environment. At the same time, it is a software testing competition where teams compete for the title of the best team in structured software testing. The event focuses on practical knowledge and skills, as well as sharing experiences among the participants.
All participants are introduced to the product to be tested. They then plan and carry out a structured test of the system. The competition is designed to challenge participants to be both creative and structured under time pressure, while at the same time putting the system itself to the test.
The competition takes place over one working day, with the winning team announced the following day. Read more about the schedule below. The competition will be conducted in both English and Danish. The introductory presentation will be in English, while teams may work in their preferred language.
If ISTQB holds the international ISTQB Cup in 2027, DSTB will explore the possibility of having the winning team from this year’s DSTB Testing Cup participate on behalf of DSTB.

Who can participate?
Turneringen er for alle som arbejder professionelt med softwaretest eller som er ved at uddanne sig i softwareudvikling.
Der er ingen krav til antal års erhvervserfaring.
Deltagerne konkurrerer i par. Du kan enten tilmelde dig alene eller som et hold. Hvis du ikke har en makker, så hjælper vi dig med at finde en.

The competition is open to anyone who works professionally with software testing or is currently studying software development.
There are no requirements regarding the number of years of professional experience.
Participants compete in pairs. You can register either individually or as a team. If you do not have a partner, we will help you find one.

There are four judges, as well as a representative from the company that developed the application. They continuously evaluate the testing effort and the results of the different teams.

Hvornår afholdes turneringen?
When is the competition?
Turneringen afholdes d. 20. oktober med præmieoverrækkelse d. 21. oktober.
Tidsplan for turneringen
Selve turneringen starter kl. 9 d. 20. oktober. Deltagerne skal nå at sætte laptop og andet udstyr op inden start, så vi anbefaler at man møder op senest 8.45. Lokalet vil være tilgængeligt fra kl 8.30.
Turneringen afsluttes kl. 16, hvorefter holdene laver en kort præsentation af deres test for at dele deres erfaringer.
Vi forlader CPH Conference og går til restauranten kl. 18.00 til en fælles middag.
Onsdag d. 21. oktober starter præsentationsdagen på Quality Beacon konferencen, som deltagerne får en gratis billet til (se programmet her)
Vinderholdet annonceres som en del af afslutningen på Quality Beacon konferencen d. 21. oktober.
Alle deltagere skal møde op senest kl. 15.15 og deltage i den afsluttende keynote. Efter annonceringen er der en drinks reception, hvor alle kan fejre resultatet med de andre konferencedeltagere.

The competition will take place on 20 October, with the award ceremony on 21 October.
Competition schedule
The competition itself starts at 9:00 on 20 October. Participants must have time to set up their laptops and any other equipment before the start, so we recommend arriving no later than 8:45. The room will be available from 8:30.
The competition ends at 16:00, after which the teams will give a short presentation of their testing to share their experiences.
We will leave CPH Conference and head to the restaurant at 18:00 for a joint dinner.
On Wednesday, 21 October, the presentation day at the Quality Beacon conference begins. Participants will receive a free ticket to attend (see the programme here).
The winning team will be announced as part of the closing session of the Quality Beacon conference on 21 October.
All participants must arrive no later than 15:15 and attend the closing keynote. After the announcement, there will be a drinks reception where everyone can celebrate the result together with the other conference attendees.

Det koster 1000 kr. inkl. moms for et hold.

Participation in the presentation day is conditional on having taken part in the Testing Cup.
Participants are responsible for covering reasonable travel expenses themselves. Contact DSTB to learn more about the possibility of receiving financial support towards these costs.
If the winning team progresses to the ISTQB Testing Cup in 2027, DSTB will provide financial support.
